I watched ISTTVG in theatres on June 19th. This movie hit me really hard and as soon as the movie finished I had to hold myself back from sobbing in my seat and had to go to the bathroom to cry for about 10 minutes. During my ride home alone on the train I could not stop thinking about the film, it felt like Jane Schoenbrun knew every personal struggle of mine and decided to turn it into a film, The experience of nothing feeling as it should be, using media as a form of escapism and so many other themes I related heavily to and the film was like a perfect recreation of how I personally experienced growing into current identity.I love this film alot and im so happy seeing the positive impact this movie has had on other trans folk.
"There is still time."
Drawing Blood is a queer horror about an artist and a hacker in a cursed, seemingly haunted house. I love this book to bits! The gory visceral parts and the sweet, tender scenes between the two are so descriptive and beautifully written I also love how PZB writes the trauma and love that the 2 characters share. The start of the book, aswell as near the end gets so visceral and gory and im obsessed with how its written! This book had me deeply invested throughout the entirety of my read and I HIGHLY reccomend it, especially for anyone who like freaky, gay and gory romance. 5/5 tbh, currently my fav book!
